Activities During the Week

Day 22 (August 24, 2018) Friday
•    When I arrived on my school, I thought that I will give my farewell speech but unfortunately my cooperating teacher and the other teacher has a meeting inside the school so there’s no class. Mama Ning said that I need to return tomorrow because they have fun run but sadly I have cough and flu, so I will just go to see them, but I will not join the event.

•    When I’m ready to go home, my students came to me and took a photo for the last time. I will really miss them because they have been part of my journey in Jambi and in Sea Teacher program. 

•    In the evening we went to the barber shop and we are accommodated by Valenda, Kaka Nita, and Bang Robi.

Day 23 (August 25, 2018) Saturday

•    When I woke up maam Ning informed us that the teacher will go to our dormitory and she said that we need to wear batik for our farewell in SMA5.

•    We arrived in the school at exact 12 noon and the program is ready to start. After the opening remarks, the emcee called me to say may farewell to all the teachers and students. I’m a little bit emotional because it such a very short time that I stayed in SMA 5 yet they are very close to me. I thank all the teachers, students, and friends that helped me to accomplish my program and I said to them that I will return to Jambi next year.

•    And for the last time, many of my students took a picture with me and Rocky. They looked so sad because they thought that we will stay long. And after saying goodbye to all of them, ma’am Lita and ma’am Ning accompanied us on our dorm.

•    When we came to our dorm, me and Dhane prepared ourselves because we will go to Jambi to take same pictures wearing our Practice Teaching uniforms.

•    After that, we went to a burger house called “Keep Burger” and it is very delicious because it is pure beef. 

•    When we came home, Kaka Ikma and her family accommodated us to buy some Durian in the streets. Day 24 (August 26, 2018) Sunday

•    The family of International Office of University of Jambi fetched us in the morning because we will go the the tourist spots of Jambi like Jambi Temple and Datang Mamdak Muko. After that we ate traditional foods of Indonesia with our family in Jambi.

•    After we came home, my students and my teacher surprised me because they know that this is my last day that they will see me in Jambi so they brought some souvenirs and foods that I can bring in the Philippines.

Day 25 (August 27, 2018) Monday 

•    Robin, Bang Robi and Kaka Nita fetched me 5:30 in the morning to go in the airport-of Jambi and I am shocked because when we are in the entrance I saw Putri waiting for me. I didn’t expect her to come because she said that she will not come, she is like my sister in Jambi, so I am very happy when I saw her. After that, ma’am Rahmalia came to the airport and we hugged each other. She gave me some souvenirs that I can bring home. After that, we took a photo before I leaved the airport.

•    When I came home, Dr. Vangie fetched me in the airport and I am happy because she said that I did well. After that she brought me home to see the burial of my grandmother.
